This piece will add color and texture to your room by combining soft-yet durable cotton and the millenary waist loom technique, entirely made by hand.
The tradition of using the waist loom, a pre-hispanic system for weaving, is passed down from generation to generation. To weave the fabric, a leather strap and rope are placed on the lower back and waist of the artisan. Cotton thread and natural dyes such as indigo, huizache, pomegranate, aloe, and melissa plants are used to bring the pieces to life.
Each table runner is a unique, one-of-a-kind piece that takes several days to be made.
